Kitchens, right at the heart
Kitchens are increasingly being viewed as the heart of the home and have to act as a multi-functional space. We create bespoke kitchens including fitted kitchens, free-standing kitchen units, kitchen island units and kitchen dressers. All to suit the space you have available and the style you want to create. From the rich and rustic style of country kitchens, to cool and contemporary modern kitchens, the bespoke range of options is endless. We can create a unique kitchen look that’s flexible and tailored to you and your style.
Country Kitchen Design; an example project
The brief was to create a Shaker style kitchen, with a mix of fitted kitchen units and a free-standing dresser to fit a modest kitchen. The room included three entrance doorways and a fixed Aga which needed to be considered in the design. The style required was a hand-painted cream country kitchen complete with solid Oak worktops to add a real sense of quality and style.
This kitchen is packed full of inspirational details such as a deep breakfast bar, wall cupboards of varying heights crowned with mitred cornice – all complimented by a beautiful over Aga mantle. The dark solid Oak worktops are matched by solid dark oak drawer boxes. The drawers have specifically been built with depth to create deep storage for pans and large bowls. The additional of an an extra wide cutlery drawer finishes the set of drawers. All are built with dovetailed joints and, with fully extending drawer runners, they create easy access storage solutions. Two solid oak trays with dovetail joints slot into place and are displayed neatly by the side of the Aga.

Contrasting solid Oak and hand painted kitchen units offers a wonderful luxury kitchen with a classic feel. See the gallery of images, above, for an example of one of our projects completed in this traditional design. A highlight of this kitchen includes the feature of a spacious larder cupboard. A perfect storage option if space allows.
Elegant and minimalist: a small kitchen makeover
Elegant, modern and minimalist was the brief for one of our small kitchen makeovers. A essential element was to create a clean and contemporary style. Clean lines and a smooth painted finish are perfect for small kitchens. In this example, the kitchen units are painted in a pale green colour, keeping the kitchen looking fresh, light and airy; understated and stylish. An important consideration when planning a small kitchen.
Go bespoke, a flexible kitchen
Every kitchen needs to be efficient, and the key to ensure yours goes the extra mile is in the design. Its about being creative – you’ll be amazed at what you can squeeze into most spaces, through a mix of decorative and hidden solutions.
In our latest kitchen project, we were challenged to do just that – create a kitchen which was stylish in design, and practical too. We were challenged to utilise the existing white goods, which meant creating extra wide work surfaces in incorporate and cover the items. To balance the work surfaces, we created a circular breakfast bar in the same solid oak.
To add interest and contrast, a tall larder unit and corner drawer units were shaped to create beautiful finishing touches to the kitchen. Continuing the creativity, the microwave is stored conveniently within the wall units to enable ease of access.
The internals of the drawer boxes were built using Merranti hardwood. They were created with dovetail joints and utilise soft-closing drawer runners. Modern stainless steel handles finish this Classic Revival kitchen look.
