Meet the team
Fine Wood Designs was established by Martyn Bell in 1995 to bring together his passion for working with wood and a desire to build furniture which would last for many years to come.
Martyn has been working with individual clients on their projects over the last 25 years and has gained a reputation for high quality craftsmanship with a focus firmly placed on the needs of the client. All work is carried out by Martyn himself, ensuring that the relationship with the client is on a one to one basis throughout the project. Truly passionate about working with wood, he has the breadth of experience to advise on the types of wood best suited for the project, as well as being creative with ideas to bring a unique focus to the project and designing the ideal solution. He is equally experienced at working on projects for contemporary homes as well as period properties, especially Grade 2 listed.
Martyn Bell & the Team Dog
Joiner and Cabinet Maker Martyn Bell with the team dog. Martyn is responsible for delivering projects from start to finish, and everything in between.
The team dog is responsible for keeping a watchful eye on things & being on hand in case any off cuts need attention.
Julie Bell
Julie Bell, responsible for all things administration & office related, accounts and web development.
Where we are
All our wood furniture, doors and windows and bespoke projects are built in out workshop based in Keighley, West Yorkshire. We work with clients throughout Yorkshire. Locally we cover areas such as Ilkley, Addingham, Burley in Wharefdale, Skipton, Harrogate, Bingley, Saltire, & The Yorkshire Dales.
